The opportunity
A recommendation is useful only when its data, permissions, and resulting action can be trusted. RevForge OS brings those pieces together for contractors making decisions about demand, sales, crews, margin, and cash. This engagement turns a clearly defined product or platform need into a tested, supportable release.
The work may span customer interfaces, APIs, data models, integrations, background processing, or applied intelligence, depending on the agreed milestone. You will work inside the existing architecture, make the important tradeoffs explicit, and leave evidence that the delivered change works beyond the happy path.
What you will do
- Inspect current source, callers, schemas, tests, and operating evidence before proposing an implementation.
- Build the agreed customer workflow or platform capability across the necessary interface, API, data, and integration boundaries.
- Preserve customer-data separation, server-side authority, permissions, and the limits governing product actions.
- Write typed, maintainable code and tests for authorized success, invalid input, denied access, and dependency failures.
- Prepare replayable data changes and practical release, monitoring, and rollback instructions when the milestone requires them.
- Deliver focused changes, address review feedback, and verify the rendered experience or running service, not just compilation.
- Document architecture decisions, known limitations, and the information the next engineer or support owner needs.
Experience that fits
- Examples of shipping and supporting production software across more than one application layer.
- Strong engineering fundamentals in web interfaces, APIs, relational data, testing, and debugging.
- The ability to reason about authorization, failure modes, data quality, and operational cost.
- Comfort working in an existing codebase and improving a boundary without creating an unnecessary parallel system.
- Clear written explanations of implementation decisions, verification, and unresolved risks.
Helpful, not essential
- Experience with TypeScript, React, SQL, integrations, or background-processing systems.
- Work on multi-customer software, predictive recommendations, evaluation, or permissioned actions.
- Experience connecting software behavior to measurable operational outcomes.
What success looks like
- The agreed workflow works from input to outcome, including its permission and failure boundaries.
- Verification and release evidence are reproducible, and the change has a usable recovery path.
- The delivered area is easier to maintain, diagnose, and support after the engagement.
How we will work together
This is a scoped, milestone-based consulting engagement. Deliverables, acceptance criteria, system access, coordination needs, and any bounded post-delivery support are agreed in advance. Production changes use the company’s review and release process.
Compensation & engagement terms
Project fees, milestone payments, or an approved hourly structure are defined in the engagement agreement, together with scope, payment conditions, and any authorized expenses.
