The opportunity
Revenue, invoices, collected cash, direct costs, and commitments tell different stories. This engagement brings those records into a clear, reconciled view so RevForge OS can make better operating decisions and reduce the amount of essential context held only by the founder.
Work is organized around defined finance or operations deliverables: a close or reconciliation, cash forecast, billing or commission process, vendor review, management package, or control improvement. The role produces dependable evidence and practical processes; company officers and authorized professional advisers retain their respective decision-making authority.
What you will do
- Prepare or support the agreed close, reconciliations, management reporting, cash forecast, and exception list.
- Reconcile authorized subscription, billing, receivable, payable, bank, card, provider-cost, or commission records.
- Make differences between booked revenue, invoices, collections, recognized revenue, refunds, and cash commitments explicit.
- Improve approved billing, collection, commission-statement, vendor-renewal, and controlled-record workflows.
- Analyze direct costs, contribution, and commitments with clearly documented sources and assumptions.
- Coordinate defined questions with the company’s bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, legal, insurance, or banking contacts as authorized.
- Deliver usable controls, calendars, ownership notes, and a handoff of open issues and risks.
Experience that fits
- Practical finance, accounting-operations, bookkeeping, or company-operations experience relevant to the proposed project.
- Strong reconciliation skills and the ability to trace a reported number back to its source.
- Clear financial communication, including assumptions, uncertainty, and the difference between profit and cash.
- Careful handling of confidential financial and personnel information.
- Judgment about when a question requires an authorized decision-maker or a qualified professional adviser.
Helpful, not essential
- Experience with recurring-revenue businesses, subscription billing, or commission reconciliation.
- Examples of building cash forecasts or practical operating controls for a small company.
- Experience coordinating multiple financial systems without losing the audit trail.
What success looks like
- Agreed reports and reconciliations tie to source records or clearly identify the remaining variance.
- Cash, commitments, collection risks, and cost drivers are understandable and actionable.
- The company can repeat the process with documented ownership rather than relying on undocumented memory.
How we will work together
This is a defined finance or operations consulting engagement. Scope and access are approved in advance. Payment, banking, personnel, tax, legal, and company-signing decisions remain with the separately authorized owner or adviser.
Compensation & engagement terms
The written engagement sets the deliverables, fee structure, authorized hours where relevant, invoicing schedule, and approved expenses. Any separately regulated professional service requires its own appropriate scope and qualifications.
