Customer Implementation Consultant

Take a customer from a signed agreement to a working, understood workflow with a clear first result.

The opportunity

A successful sale is only the beginning. A contractor needs their data, people, permissions, and operating process to work together before the product becomes useful. This engagement owns a defined implementation project from an accepted sales handoff through configuration, validation, training, and transition.

You will make the customer’s intended outcome concrete, surface gaps early, and keep commitments realistic. A finished project is not simply a checklist marked complete: designated users can run the agreed workflow, understand what it does, and know where open issues go next.

What you will do

  • Review the commercial handoff, intended outcome, customer responsibilities, and any commitments that need clarification before kickoff.
  • Create a practical implementation plan covering scope, milestones, customer contacts, data readiness, access, and risks.
  • Coordinate approved configuration, data mapping, migration validation, integrations, and role-based access for the assigned customer.
  • Run focused working sessions and readiness reviews that move the customer toward the agreed first workflow.
  • Test that workflow with the right users and document the result, outstanding dependencies, and measurement window.
  • Train designated users using clear operating instructions and realistic customer scenarios.
  • Hand over the implementation record, customer guide, open items, and ongoing ownership to the company’s customer lead.

Experience that fits

  • Experience implementing software or delivering structured customer onboarding projects.
  • The ability to translate business requirements into configuration, data, testing, and training tasks.
  • Strong project coordination and clear communication with customers who are busy running a business.
  • Comfort identifying missing data, access problems, unsupported requests, or product issues and routing them correctly.
  • Careful handling of customer information and a habit of documenting decisions and commitments.

Helpful, not essential

  • Experience with contractor, field-service, or workflow software.
  • Examples of successful migrations, role-based training, or measurable first-value improvements.
  • A background coordinating sales, technical teams, and customer stakeholders through a handoff.

What success looks like

  • The assigned customer has a validated workflow tied to a specific business outcome.
  • Customer users understand their responsibilities, access, operating steps, and escalation route.
  • The receiving owner has an accurate handoff with no hidden promises or unresolved ownership gaps.

How we will work together

This is a bounded customer implementation engagement with defined start, completion criteria, coordination needs, and handoff. Access is limited to the assigned customer and project. Ongoing account ownership or additional work is not implied by the initial scope.

Compensation & engagement terms

Implementation scope, project fees or approved hours, payment milestones, and any authorized travel or expenses are agreed in writing before work starts.
